TAmerica has from its beginning thumbed its nose at authority. Especially authority that centered around knowledge. This was one of the contributions of the Great Awakening. Before the Great Awakening it was thought the educated elite would be able to lead the masses the right way. Therefore education and advanced theological training were for the rich and elite. But what happened way too often was the educated elite ruled the masses for their personal gain with little regard for the masses. But In America the concept of universal education and individuals having a voice in the things that concern them took strong hold. The Great Awakening theology challenged the Old School of religion. You were not elected but made a choice for salvation. The Holy Spirit was available not just to the elected elites and priest but also to the common man. This became ingrained in the revolutionary mind. Thomas Paine writes Common Sense meaning things that anyone who thinks could know. It was an age of everyone should have access to knowledge and everyone could be enlightened. Flash forward approximately 232 years and this disrespect of the authority of knowledge is alive and well. Universities’ feet are held to the fire. The scientific community has lost some of their authority. All of this would be fine except we have not really given up authority of institutions or people. Many have merely changed their sources of authority. The new authority does not have to go through any academic rigor they merely have to sound good and not challenge the status quo. Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Glen Beck all are college dropouts. They all have higher ratings than PhD In political science Rachel Maddow or Ivy League graduates Chris Hayes and Lawrence O’Donnell. Fox News and talk radio are the only and trusted source for some people. Many are no longer personal thinkers: they are followers (Limbaugh fans in fact tongue in cheek call themselves ‘ditto heads’). These new generation of pundits yearn to have the approval of academia. This is evidenced with the practice of ‘academic’ books ghost-written for them in an attempt to gain notoriety for their intellectual endeavors. They use terms such as Limbaugh Institute and Beck University as though wishing they had the credentials of a professor. We need yet a new revolution in the way we think about authority. If we are to be our own authorities we have to do the work. Watching a television news show for a couple of hours doesn’t make you an expert. If you are exposed primarily to only one point of view that does not make you an expert. We also must learn to listen to those who have put the time in. We do not have to agree but it helps to have opinions to bounce off. We also must become life-long learners. Many college graduates after graduation rarely read another serious book again. So their knowledge ten years later is dated. For example if you received a history degree in the eighties but have not continue to read you would not have studied 911, Afghan War, Clinton Impeachment and so on. You would have opinions on the subjects formed by your dated education but you would not necessarily be an expert on the subjects. Plus the authorities we choose must prove to be worthy. You should have a job description in your head of what your expert’s qualifications should be. Personally, I give less credence to experts who show no life experience to also draw on. I do give credence to those who have spent years of their life dedicated to the study of a subject (PhDs). We also must ask, are we an expert on what we talk? Are we an authority? What the country desperately needs is for everyone to be their own thinkers but also return to a modicum of respect for the traditional intellectual institutions. Throwing the baby out with the bath water has never been the solution. When Mao did his Cultural Revolution he attacked the educated and artists. He was attempting to rid the Western influence on Chinese Culture. While it is debatable how successful he was at this, he was successful at gutting most of the creative class. Which may have put China a few decades behind. We have people who follow authorities who want to take our country back to the mythical fifties when white, heterosexual, males were the authorities. But the country has changed in demographics and values. Which brings other cultures and people to have claims on authority too. Martin Luther King Jr. shared a new vision for America. Cesar Chavez also has grown our vision, and many others who would not have a voice in the white culture we once had. The trick for us in the current cultural place we find ourselves is not to throw the white way out with the bath water. We need a shared culture that includes all. But in the end I am afraid: if the white, heterosexual, male does not allow other voices of authority their proper place, they will engender the need for the white voice to be thrown away.

The principles behind Jubilee found in the Torah are seldom remembered. The year of Jubilee is a concept found in the Torah. It was a practice that was to ensure that there was never too big a gap in wealth in the nation of Israel. Georgia was founded with a similar concept. When the male owner of the land died his property was to go to his heirs. If there were no heirs the land was to go back to the government so that they could redistribute it. This was to try to prevent some one individual from grabbing up all of the land. If this policy had been adhered to the push west would have been slower and maybe the rush for Native American lands would have been slowed. Whatever you may think of these kinds of policies it shows that people have always been concerned about the distribution and accumulation of wealth. So it is either ignorance or disingenuousness when the rich and politicians act shocked at concern about these issues. For a society to be just and fair there must be opportunity for each succeeding generation to claim their fair share of the country’s wealth. This cannot happen if the scales continue to be tilted toward the wealthy. It cannot happen if there is not, in some form, a redistribution of wealth from time to time. This was what the recently revoked inheritance tax was meant to address. The sons and daughters of the rich may have an advantage financially but the advantage is limited by taxes. Corporate taxes in part were to make up for corporate welfare. The problem is that all too often taxes are not used to ensure a more fair land. Free tuition for all would be an opportunity that made a more fair deal for our people. The same with healthcare. The assurance that a crisis in your health will not diminish your chance to succeed is level ground. But we resist these as if they were poison. But we want to promote ourselves as the land of the free. Freedom to succeed with an equal chance as the next individual is part of the land of the free. Of course as the right is so quick to point out you can never have a totally level playing field. But this should not prevent us from creating an atmosphere and conditions as close as we can to a level playing field. Confucius was the first great teacher of a merit based society. He implemented tests for government jobs so that hiring was not based on who you know but what your abilities were. But we in America have inherited in our cultural genes classism from our European ancestors. We of course denounce classism but it nevertheless has found its place in our society. We tried with capitalism to create a fair place. But after a while of robber barons, monopolies, racism, we have created a great divide in our country. Class warfare does exist. Both sides struggle to gain the upper hand. But after many generations the great fear is the one percent have finally learned how to win. A billionaire who has a fraudulent charity, has defaulted on contracts, loves to attach his names to buildings, is now considered a populist, a man of the people We are in need of a Jubilee Year to balance the scales a little. Maybe the elections of 2018 will be the call for this. Yes it would be better but it is not an elixir for a fairer world. That only comes with the ongoing declaring and working for Jubilee every day. Why do some people insist that others follow some moral code as they believe? Because they need validity in having others follow their way of thinking. Their spiritual/moral egos are so fragile unless others pay heed to their moral code, they feel threatened. In reality if you do not believe in homosexuality, it is easy to avoid dealing with gay presence. But you say it permeates the culture. So does meat eating but I manage as a vegetarian to deal with it. And yes sometimes it is challenging but if I believe in vegetarianism I deal with it. There is an ethical question that occurs about morality. It goes like this: if I never face temptation can I be truly called moral? In other words if you have a lifestyle that is never challenged by temptations or made hard have you really made a moral choice? Is the choice merely something you grew up doing? If I have never cheated in my marriage but have never had an occasion when an affair was possible can I really say I am faithful husband? The fact is you do not know because you have not had the opportunity to cheat. So when people demand that there be laws legislating morality it makes me wonder is it because they fear on some level if the opportunity occurs they will not be faithful to their morality. Just a thought. Another reason for demanding others follow your moral code is you have a penchant to want to control events, people and things. This is what is known as the God syndrome. Now God has given us free will and choice but you somehow think this was a mistake. You believe you can out God God. So you desire to take free will out of the question so you can create a better world. We all know this free will thing was a mistake and you aim to fix that. You are uncomfortable with the separation of church and state. Because in a democratic state the government tries to involve itself as little as possible in the affairs of humans. But in a church state you can condemn personal actions of others and punish them for these actions. A church state is very interested in involving itself into the affairs of its citizens. The final reason I will address today is the so called love factor. I love the offending moral lapser so much I am willing to inflict emotional, spiritual, legal, and even physical pain on them to help them live a moral life. But of course the fear of punishment does not make them moral. It makes them scared. Another ethical question that is batted around does the motivation of the fear of hell or the promise of heaven make one moral? Many say no. You see fear or an award does not too many in the final analysis make you moral. It merely makes you a survivor. The moral person is someone who will do good even when there is no promise of reward and is willing to take the potential horrible consequences of his/her actions. I will live my values in hell or as some Holocaust survivor ethicists have proclaimed in a holocaust camp because I am a moral human. Now that is some pretty tough stuff. And to be frank to live like that takes an unusual strength. And to me that is the final reason I do not try to force my morality unto others. It can be hell to follow your values and I believe everyone should have the free will to choose what hell they want to live in. Or to put it another way everyone should have the right to choose the heaven they want to thrive in. 1993 is the date that our country no longer had a white Anglo Saxon Protestant majority. In the last two years white Christians are no longer a majority in our country and in 2042 whites will no longer be a majority. The ground is shifting. WASPs are losing their identity not because they are no longer in the majority but because they have abandoned their values to try to stay in power. And the irony of this is this attempt to stay in power will be their undoing. The strong will always eventually fall. Their ideals do not have to if they adhere to the best of their traditions. But the WASPs are trying to take the kingdom by force and in so doing will find themselves on the sidelines as the new majority begins to sort out what their identity will be. The WASPs have abandoned all of the precepts of the Social Gospel and replaced it with a new form of Social Darwinism. In essence the science hating right wing evangelicals have replaced a gospel with a theory of science. And even more grimace inducing is that Darwin rejected Social Darwinism. Social Darwinism is an effort to apply the evolutionary concept of natural selection to human society adapted by Herbert Spencer. The use of this theory has been debunked more than once over the years but has been refurbished by such atheist writers as Ayn Rand. Ayn Rand a darling of House Speaker Paul Ryan and others. WASPs are now using a debunked social theory to interpret the Gospel to justify actions to maintain themselves in power. The theory especially as honed by Rand says the rest of the world should get out of the way of the wealthy and let them have total control. The poor are holding back the wealthy from making this a great country. Therefore the poor who are not measuring up to WASP standards must be punished or done away with by cutting insurance programs such as Social Security, Unemployment, or Healthcare. They also want to cut programs that assist others who are not prospering in the world’s richest country by cutting food stamps, subsidized housing, daycare, education, and the list goes on. As far as immigrants go they only want the proven best from other countries and no one from shithole countries. And as far as those already in our country we do not want the immigrants without citizenship no matter how long they have lived here. They are not part of the WASP plan for greatness. The survival of the fittest cannot work if we are infiltrated with inferior groups. This is why abortion rights and birth control must be denied or controlled. In fact there is a movement in the evangelicals for families to have as many babies as possible to stem the unwashed tide of non-Christian births. This movement has had the president of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Al Mohler, promoting it. The WASPs want to be sure that no WASP fetuses are killed or are prevented by birth control because of the declining birthrate of WASPs. They need all hands on deck. Trump brings something new to the Social Darwinism. He brings us a foreign policy based on Social Darwinism. Why do you think he has a penchant for relating well to strong dictator types? They are the model of a foreign policy based on Social Darwinism. Democracies give too much power to the common citizen. Strong dictatorship type leadership allows the fittest to rule and control events. This also effects how we deal with our allies. Alliances and trade pacts must be in our favor because we cannot let lesser countries take us down. We according to this theory should not have alliances where the parties rely on us but instead they should assist us in becoming great. Of course this attitude at home and abroad leaves the WASPs vulnerable to the Julius Cesar effect: Where all the minorities and former allies eventually see you as a threat to their well-being and in effect agree to put you out of your misery. These and many other tactics such as gerrymandering, voter suppression laws, citizens united decision, and so on are the way the WASPs are clinging to power. But all these tactics are only slowing down the eventual tide of a country that WASPs will no longer have control. And the irony remains these tactics are going to be the death of WASP ideology having much influence in our country. You see the very social gospel of welcoming the stranger in their midst, our obligation to the powerless and poor, democracy, freedom of religion not state ordained religion, leaving personal decisions as much as possible to the individual conscience is and has been the strength of the WASP ‘way’. All of this will remain but because the WASPs are currently found too often on the other side of these issues they will no longer receive credit for them in our society. As our current president has tweeted on many occasions this is so SAD. The dishonesty of it all. Jeff Sessions who was said by no less than Coretta Scott king to be a racist and unfit to be a federal judge is now our bible quoting Attorney General. President Trump who cheated on his previous wives, speaks about grabbing pussy in private, had a porn star paid off, is now given permission to talk about women’s rights. Rudy Guliani who like Trump has had three wives cheated on all of them pronounces a porn star has no credibility. Guliani who also brought a girlfriend into the city hall while wife number two was still living there. Guiliani who was recently seen in a bar waving a handkerchief over his head with multiple women. Still Guliani wants us to accept him as moral sexual arbitrator. This is the new America. Trump who has cheated his contractors, declared bankruptcy five times, had to settle a lawsuit over his fraudulent Trump University, illegally paid fines on his Mar largo resort from his charitable foundation wants us to think he is a Christian and a good business man. He separates children from their parents at the border and then because of immense pressure folds and signs an executive order to keep them together. He did this after telling the public quite piously there is nothing I can do it’s the Democrats fault. But do not think he has gone all humanitarian on us guess where he wants to keep them together, wait for it: in jail. And for the families he has already separated he is not making any real effort to reunite them. The problem is apparently when you reach a certain level of narcissism and privilege you no longer have to feel shame. Shame is for us middle class slugs. They of the dishonest ilk inform us of what we are to feel guilty about. Remember when drug addict and three wives Rush Limbaugh attacked a college kid for using birth control. Or the anti-choice congressman who lambastes people who have or give abortions suggested to his pregnant lover (he was married) she have an abortion. It is a strange time indeed. In fact it is times like these which requires a Marquis de Sade. His writings were indeed sexually explicit. But the point of his writings were that while the religious, economic and political elite require almost Puritanical lives by the non-elites they live like Caligula on steroids. When will we have moral leaders or at least ones who will not lie to us again? I do not know. To be honest most leaders are not necessarily the most moral. And if they are like Jimmy Carter we make fun of his sweaters, not drinking alcohol in the White House, his lust in his heart etc. Maybe we have never come to terms who we really are as a country. We forcibly stole our land from the Indians and Mexicans. We took the children of the Japanese Internment prisoners, Native Americans, Slaves, and now Mexicans seeking asylum at our borders from them. We put Native Americans on reservations and Jim Crowed Blacks. We even had our moment of Imperialism in Cuba, Phillippines, Hawaii, Guam, Puerto Rico, and other places. Our greatness has been built on many immoral deeds. Yet to say this out loud is to be Un-American. The dishonesty and our many questionable past deeds are a part of who we are. The fact that we continue to deny it or become upset when someone brings it up is why we are where we are today. I believe the first step to recovery from greed, racism and power is to admit we are powerless to deal with it. Without this first step we will remain addicted to the sins of our fathers. When the going gets bad; do good. When they go low; do more good. Always do good. That should be the answer to the Trump and his followers. We will resist and we will do good. Too often evil has only one objective: to distract us from doing good. If you want to tear apart families at our border I will resist as I am able but I will also do good. I will work to make the world better for the children in my city. If you want to discriminate against gays I will resist as I am able but I will also do good. I will donate money and time to the local LGBTQ center. I am not afraid of your evil. For you see if I continue to do good evil will pass. I will plan and organize and do good. Because when evil finally fades I will be ready to do even more good than before. So the times are hard now but I am sitting here doing good. Be warned you are facing the first wave of goodness which is our resistance to the things you wish to destroy. But behind the wave of resistance is a tidal wave of organized goodness that will drown you out. If evil cannot distract you it will attempt to cause despair in you. That is why doing good is essential. It is hard to feel despair when you have helped someone out of poverty. In fact studies show people who volunteer are more likely to be happier, feel more connected, and live longer. So if you cannot find that altruistic bone in yourself volunteer and do good and you will reap benefits. Nothing like selfishness to encourage us to do the right thing. We may not be able to always effect change in all the great challenges in our country. But we can bring goodness to those we meet and see on a daily basis. Determine that you will be the person at work that creates community and makes sure you are all doing well. The same for the block you live on. There is so much you can do wherever you find yourself. The racist can squawk about white superiority, the anti-immigrant can build walls, the homophobic can refuse to bake, but you can sing the glory of diversity, you can stretch your hand of welcome across your town to the immigrants, and you can bake a cake for the gay couple down the street. Doing good is the only answer to evil. Evil will have its day but you can be sure the world is not without goodness even amidst the times of darkness. So we should take children away from their parents at our borders? This is who we are now. We no longer can think of creative solutions to solve a problem. It is sledgehammer time or as some like to call it tough love. We are the home wreckers of today and many of us wear it like a badge of honor. They say they reassign the children to foster care situations. We are told they made one call back to each new “home”. This was above and beyond, they emphasize. Children stripped away from their parents and put into a strange household need nothing more than one call to see if they are adjusting. And heck, if they cannot get a return call from the reliable people they entrusted the children to, what the hey. If they cared about the children they would be making several call backs to ensure the children were adjusting. The truth is we do not care that is who we are now. If some were sold as sex slaves that is the consequence of their parents bringing them to our country. We do not play games. We will punish children for the acts of their parents. Of course the dirty little secret about ourselves is we are no strangers to the act of taking children away from their parents. We did it to make money with slave children, we did it to civilize the Native American children, we did it to make good patriots of the Japanese citizens’ children after Pearl Harbor. We are known since the early days of our countries with having orphans living on our city streets. Bethesda, the oldest orphanage in Savannah, started in the 18th century. The local Yamacraw Indians here in Savannah were glad to see the orphanage because they could not understand the concept of orphans. In their culture if parents die someone takes them in. The Yamacraws supported Bethesda by donating food and other supplies to help maintain it. We are also known for being the richest country in the world but having a poverty rate of children at 21 percent in America. This is who we are. So how can you be surprised when we take children from their parents when we have another group of people we wish to exert control over. This is who we are. Our current Attorney General Jeff Sessions, proving he is nothing more than a Dixiecrat is behind the new separation. You remember his confirmation hearings where he was accused of being a racist by none other than Corretta Scott King has now opened his can of whoop ass on immigrants. He fears they are the great threat to the great white American way. Children will be taken away from you if you try to smuggle them in our country he says. This is the law he pompously proclaimed. Okay Jeff if I grant you that is the law, is it the law to not take loving care of the children? Jeffy why are they being kept in cages? Is that just the way of a white racist? Just asking. You see we are demonizing our brown brothers and sisters. We have a president who loves to refer to these children and their parents as animals. Even had the crowd say it with him at his political rally. I am told Mr. Two Corinthians is a Christian. Shows how much I know. The truth is we do not care about children. That is who we are right now as a nation. The far right is right: we do devalue life in this country. Maybe one day we will focus on the least of these again but for now give me a sledgehammer. Kneeling is respect for the national anthem. They respect the anthem enough to know it is the place to challenge when America is not the place it is destined to be. If they did not kneel while our country is failing in its racial relations it would say the national anthem is not relevant to our country. All of those who want people to stand for the National Anthem in times of internal crises are the unpatriotic ones. The Players are not avoiding the National Anthem they are relating to it in an invested way. Their critics are not engaged with the national anthem; they are blindly following the whatevers of government and culture. Trump suggests they stay in the locker room during the anthem if they want to protest. This is like saying if you want to protest come through the back door. They have not chosen to hearken back to Jim Crow years which diminished us as a country. They have come through the front door and said we too are part of America and we are not being treated fairly. We love the anthem but cannot stand for it to be diminished because of ongoing police brutality and racism. In my own life I have always chosen to dialogue with my elders and tell them respectfully what they are doing that I disagree. I have been told do not waste your time, they will not change. But this is to say they are no longer relevant. Their day is past. I think this is ageism. It is the same attitude when you do not include people in the decisions of your business, non-profits, or family that effect them. Your opinion does not matter we are saying. When we tell people to conform no matter what is going on; we are letting them know they are not important. We do not need your views, we need your conformity. Trump is asking for conformity in a private business he has no stake in. (It should probably be mentioned here that Trump tried to buy an NFL team but the owners rejected his application.) The nouveau rich New Yorker says he is speaking for Middle America. Which indeed some of them have voted to give him this power. But the Middle America that he represents are primarily conservative whites. Conservative whites are telling black men to protest in the way they demand and which they are comfortable. This was really on so many levels a battle that President Trump should not have engaged. What a powerful image it could make if people saw the unity of our country in being present for the anthem even when we currently feel disappointment. That is the true believer ‘Now faith is the assurance of what we hope for and the certainty of what we do not see’ Hebrew 11:1’. To ask them not to stand or not be on the field is to ask them to reject the teaching ‘to be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:2. Unity is not about agreement or conformity of action it is about staying together in truth even when things are not going well. So I say let us make an America that our black brothers cannot only be with us during the National Anthem but be proud to stand. This is the America we are called to be. The end of prayer as an acceptable answer during crises may be ending because of the NRA and the right. They have pronounced after each mass shooting that the victims are in their prayers and thoughts. They also proclaim the only thing that can be done in the aftermath of mass shootings are prayers and thoughts. Discussions on how to bring the shootings to an end are premature and must happen in some future time. So prayers have become a cudgel to be used on people who want to see change. Even worse prayers have become equal to doing nothing. We plan to do nothing or we plan not to change so we offer you prayers and thoughts. Two hundred plus shootings later since Sandy Hook to be offered prayers is almost to proclaim that I really do not care. People effected by the shootings are saying we do not want your prayers we want your actions. And there you have it prayer is no longer an activity but considered an inactive response. Prayer was once thought to be the enabler of action is now thought to be the avoidance of action. Prayer was once thought essential to do acts with depth of thought or now thought to be the avoidance of thinking about the problem. Prayer was once thought to be the leaving of your egos behind to allow God room to act within you is now the avoidance of Godly acts. So the so called believers in prayer or killing prayer. Of course this is the way it always is the practitioners are the ones who think they own the practice. The right would be the first to tell liberals they do not believe and therefore their prayers are ineffectual. But because the right has locked themselves in prayer boxes their prayer has become an act only to make themselves feel better. It does not connect them to a higher power or to their deeper selves but instead works to make them feel justified in any selfish or bigoted action they partake. Some on the right have proclaimed that taking prayer out of schools is the reason for the shootings. To them prayer is a demand of a God who is waiting for you not to offer your prayers to strike you down in the most horrendous way. Prayer to them is appeasement of God. And to make it even more striking is if God is not appeased he takes it out on the children who have no say in the matter. In other words god is a very bad shot when it comes to punishment. God misses striking the ones responsible and hits the one who are the most vulnerable. Prayer use to be thought as a personal contact with God. But the indiscriminate hard ass described in the previous paragraph is not someone I would want to know. So you see prayers are being killed by the right. I always thought prayer to be useful to guide me in the ways of righteous actions. But now I can pray without worrying about what God may inspire me to do next. What a relief. I can tell the hungry I pray for them and not offer food. I can tell the prisoner I pray for them and do not have to visit them. I can tell the sick I pray for them and do not have to care for them. I can tell children in schools I pray for them and do not have to stop the bloodshed. The economist Joseph Schumpter is known for his economic theory of creative destruction. In this theory he purports that layoffs, plant closures, ending corporations, or the death of a whole industry can be good and necessary for a healthy economy. That destroying things that are going obsolete to make room for new and better economies is good. In other words the death of the vhs tapes industry can be healthy if done to make room for DVD industry which can be destroyed to make room for itunes. This is all healthy if the transformation is done ‘creatively’. He is also for the shutting down of plants if new technology is creating the possibilities of faster production and better quality. He also says the destruction of companies I layoffs can be good if it is to create a new corporate culture and a more refined administration. But this is only good if it is to ensure better performance and healthier industries. Creative Destruction is to be done with planning and foresight and not convenience and for the sake of growth alone. Some have been hinted this is the way president Trump is currently doing foreign policy. He has a refined chaos theory of politics. Thus we have rocket man, the destruction of the State Department, moving the US embassy to Jerusalem, and withdrawing from the Iranian treaty. While I would wholeheartedly agree that he is taking a sledge hammer to the US foreign policy I am not sure he is being what Schumpter would call creative destruction. First, his policies seem driven by impulses more than some overriding plan to improve the US status in the world. In other words his destruction of our foreign policy is being done with a sledge hammer. But he has not checked to see which are the load bearing walls and necessary to our foreign policy. He is not creatively destroying he is only destroying. This can be as bad or even worse than the status quo. And the problem is the Humpty Dumpty syndrome. Once the egg has been cracked you can never put it back together again. While insulting and threatening North Korea may work it may be harmful to use the same strategy with Iran. Ayatollahs may not act the same way as a North Korean dictator. The humpty Dumpty of this policy is the destruction of the State Department. This took literally centuries to develop. A restructuring is always needed. It is harmful to just not fill positions. Certainly one could justify layoffs and ending certain policies but to show a total indifference in what remains or leaving it to the gods to decide is not creative but lazy. Trump’s foreign policy seems to be based on destroying Obama’s legacy as much as anything else. Again this is not creative destruction but envy destruction. This again is a plan destroy Oba ma’s legacy but it is not necessarily a healthy one. So I have said all of this to point out that a creative destruction of the foreign policy may be good especially in some areas. But what we face is the foreign policy caprice of a President who is not interested in intelligence de-briefing, does not read books, almost has a disdain for experts, and has one primary source for information this is a recipe for disaster. Trump must move to engaging more thought and planning then he has. He also must move from envy politics to a more sophisticated policies. The world awaits his deliberations. So hopefully he will deliberate. |
